MenMeet is a social group that welcomes all men in and around Milford on Sea. We organise a variety of activities and there is no subscription. Arrangements are made by men from the local churches.
Our main activity is a monthly gathering usually in the evening. This can comprise a local walk, often finishing with a pub meal, skittles evening, or a talk usually based in the Beach House pub.
Talks are very varied but recent topics have been about wartime New Forest airfields and the experiences of a BBC television reporter. We are looking forward to hearing about life on an Antarctic research base and field camp.
Regular Saturday morning breakfasts are held at The Beach House with a ‘thought for the day’. More challenging are the MenMeet Plus evenings where we explore questions of Christian faith.
We are looking forward to planning our events for this year when it is clearer how and when the Covid restrictions are lifted. But we are definitely planning to start with a local walk on Thursday 27th May starting at 10.30am. Meet at All Saints Church car park. The walk will stop for a pub lunch, probably outdoors.
